27 June - 29 June, 10am - 6pm, Open City in the park. Central Park, Greenwich Peninsula. Part of the London Festival of Architecture. Design for London invites creative practitioners, artists and an illustrator to explore ideas around connections within the city. Installations featured in Design for London’s London Open City exhibition move to the Greenwich peninsula.

Art Installations at the Pier on the Peninsula and in Central park with a Barbecue at the Pilot. The Great London Parks Picnic. Inspired by Japanese lobbyists for better picnic spaces in cities, a large map of London will be marked out on the lawn in white line paint (as on a cricket lawn), showing Greater London, the Thames and key London parks and picnic spots. Come and join the picnic by eating in 'Hyde Park,' 'Clapham Common,' 'Hampstead Heath,' and have the opportunity to label and place a flag to mark your favourite green spaces and picnic spots in London. Food will be available from the Pilot Inn barbeque, and from Feng Sushi, who will distribute free samples of sushi boxes. And afternoon tea from the LFA Tea House.
Trinity Buoy Wharf Boat Shuttle Service 12pm - 6pm, Between QEII Pier, Greenwich Peninsula SE10 and Trinity Buoy Wharf E14 0JW A unique opportunity to take a fasinating journey across the river Thames. Departing at various points of the day from the QEII pier by The O2, the boat will take in the sights of Docklands as it glides over water to the innovative Trinity Buoy Wharf, home to London's only Lighthouse and the 3 of the acclaimed Container City Schemes. Free exhibitions and open studios will also be happening in conjunction with the London Festival of Architecture www.LFA2008.org
